Reflection on My Performance in the English Level-4 Exam

Preparation

Before taking the English level-4 exam, I had studied intensively for several months. I read a lot of English materials, including newspapers, magazines, and novels, and watched English movies and TV series. In addition, I attended an English course and practiced speaking with my classmates. With all these efforts, I felt quite confident about my English level and ready for the exam.

Exam experience

The English level-4 exam was tougher than I expected. The reading and listening parts were relatively easy, but the writing and speaking parts challenged me a lot. In the writing section, I spent too much time on the first essay and had to rush the second one, which might damage my score. As for the speaking part, I didn't feel comfortable expressing my ideas, mainly due to my nervousness and lack of fluency. However, I did try my best to articulate my viewpoints and make logical connections between them.

Outcome and future plan

In the end, I received a decent score of 465 on the English level-4 exam, which is considered above average. I was happy with the result, but also aware of my weaknesses and areas for improvement. Therefore, I plan to continue practicing my English skills, especially writing and speaking, by joining English clubs or participating in international programs. I believe that with persistent efforts, I can achieve a higher score and broaden my career and personal opportunities in the future. In conclusion, taking the English level-4 exam was a challenging yet rewarding experience for me. It not only tested my English proficiency, but also motivated me to strive for further improvement. With a positive attitude and effective strategies, I believe anyone can pass the exam and enhance their English level.
